National Transportation Company Metal Recycling Case Study.
A national transportation company, with terminals throughout the United States. They had maintenance shops, bot not one was recycling their metal, and/or it was not accounted for.
1,687,000 pounds of waste diverted annually with AOWR's assistance.
AOWR surveyed each terminal and reviewed the frequency of both preventative and reactive maintenance. General weight guidelines were established for standardized scrap metal parts, and a transparent and a manageable metal recycling program was implemented.
This customer receives a monthly itemized rebate for all the prior month's purchased scrap metal. Combined with the cost reduction from AOWR's bid and right size/streaming, more than 30% saving have been achieved.
